Online Orders -
NON-EEC Shipments.
We have considerable expertise in sending consignments all over the world. We
deal with the insurance and necessary paperwork on your behalf, when ordering
via our website, you have the choice of choosing if you wish your shipment to be
insured, or not. If you do not choose insurance, please note that shipment
is at your risk.
When entering an order, if you're not logged in, or you haven't yet created a
non-EEC delivery address, your shopping basket will show VAT. This will be
removed at the shopping basket checkout/when you do log in and your order is
processed.
UK Sales tax is not charged on orders for NON-EEC destinations (This is automatically calculated when you log in/or checkout) If you have a valid EEC VAT number, then please
quote this in the notes at checkout, and we will manually deduct 17.5% VAT on EEC shipments before shipping.
Overseas Shipping is at cost, plus £2.50 packing charge, which covers our costs in materials etc.
We have NO MINIMUM order size or quantity.
Personal Shopping, or visitors to the UK.
Goods exported or carried personally out of the country may qualify for a UK Sales tax refund.
We are always pleased to meet our overseas customers, or we can post to a hotel,
or friends address within the UK. Please note that shipments to UK
addresses will include VAT. Please request a VAT refund form in the notes
section of the order, and you will be able to claim a VAT refund as
described below.
Tax free shopping.
Our tax free shopping service (which is administered by a 3rd party) allows customers from outside the European Union (EU/EEC)
to claim back the UK Sales tax/Value Added Tax (VAT) on purchases from DCC Supplies.
Who can buy tax free?
Mail order/Internet or visiting overseas buyers whose domicile or
habitual residence is outside the European Union, and intend to leave for a
destination outside the EU within three months. Also UK residents who send goods
to friends and family living outside the EU can claim. Residents of the
Channel Islands.
What do I save?
Non-EU customers may reclaim the Value Added Tax (VAT) included in the purchase
price, (less an administrative charge -only applied to personal purchases for visiting customers;
Mail order/internet transactions purchased by a non-EEC billing address, and shipped directly to, a non-EEC address do not have an administrative charge).
Does VAT apply to all goods?
A VAT refund will be given on all merchandise except for books which are free of VAT
in the UK, and are therefore not eligible.
What restrictions are there?
Visitors: You must spend £75 or more in one transaction and travel
to a country outside the European Union within three months of the first
purchase date.
Internet/Mail order: No minimum purchase value, VAT
is automatically deducted for non-EU residents at checkout. (If you create an
account, prices are show exclusive of VAT if you live in a qualifying country.)
How do I claim my refund?
Visitors: Having completed your shopping, obtain a tax free
shopping form from us. You will need to show your receipts and passport. The
procedure for obtaining a VAT refund will then be explained to you.
Mail Order/Internet: VAT is automatically deducted at checkout.
How is my refund paid?
A cash refund is obtainable from the `Cash Refund Service` desk situated at most
UK airports, or, if you prefer, we can arrange to credit your JCB (Japanese
Credit Bureau), MasterCard, or Visa. Alternatively, a cheque in any major
currency will be sent to you or someone you nominate. Our VAT Refunds are
administered by a third party company, a pre-paid addressed envelope is included
to return your completed documentation in, please ensure this is posted after
obtaining the customs stamp at your port of departure from EUROPE.
