This starter set contains everything you need to outfit a train consisting of 3 cars and a locomotive.
Consists of:
* 1 x LD-SC/B1 locomotive decoder LD-1M including power storage.
* 3 x Wagon decoders WD-GW2
* 8 TC-H0 NEM plug-in OO/HO couplings
* Connectors, wiring and CD based instruction manual.
At this time, the Manual is available in the German language only. We are currently working on a translation.

The uninterruptable power supply ensures reliable operation over all types and condition of trackwork (included with start set).

T4T understands the train as a single entity, consisting of one or more locomotives plus wagons/carriages/cars. The T4T model train automation offers the ability to control all train functions easily: light, coupling, etc. only via one DCC address the decoder-address!
No unmanageable individual addressed, strung together decoders, instead; each car has an intelligent decoder which work together as one,taking over control of what needs to be done.

The heart of the system is the T4T coupler; containing a miniature solenoid, a pair of contacts and an infra-red sensor. It's a superb example of miniature engineering.
Many, commonly used couplings require major efforts when coupling. As a consequence, the locomotive needs to basically 'crash' into the cars at high speed - not really a desirable scenario! The T4T TC-H0 coupler allows for silky smooth coupling at any given position, so it's possible to couple upto rolling stock without excessive speed or force being required; now the skill is in the driving! Slow, smooth automatic coupling without the wagons moving is completely possible.
The couplings electrical connections automatically power up the wagon decoder (if fitted) and update the master decoder (fitted to the loco) with relevant information. The decoders, (consisting of locomotive- and car-decoders) automatically define the order in which the vehicles are assembled - without any effort on the train conductor‘s part.
Now the car-decoders can receive and execute orders via the locomotive‘s DCC-address.

Future accessories will enable the length of the entire train to be calculated, enabling automatic stops at signals and stations regardless of which end of the train the master decoder has been fitted to.
