3mm Bi-Colour (bipolar)RED/White
LED, with Common Anode (+).
Normal Bi-Colour LED's just aren't DCC friendly. The
standard is to have a common Negative (Cathode) terminal which just doesn't work too well with
the common + supply (Blue wire) provided on most DCC decoders. OK, so you could use two individual LED's or even a relay
or transistor circuit, but
this adds bulk, and extra components.
Introducing our first Common positive (or bipolar) LED.
Simple to wire, just connect the common anode(+) lead to the
blue decoder wire (Via the included resistor), and the remaining wires to the
White and Yellow decoder wires (depending on your requirement for Red or White
lighting)
This LED is a clear red/white colour, with the colours
carefully balanced to be suitable for prototypical modern locomotives and
rolling stock.
We Include a 680 ohm resistor, so you're ready to go!
N.B. - The LED does not really flash! it's controlled by
the DCC decoder.
