The DCX51-2 is suitable for all direct current and alternating-current motors in OO to O locomotives.

The DCX51-2 offers high frequency 16kHz engine control for Faulhabermotors. Alternatively, drive frequency is also steplessly adjustable from 30-150 cycles per second for traditional motors. 14, 28 or 128 steps back emf load balance, full addressing from 1 to 10240 and 'programming on the main'.

The DCX51-2 supports the full Zimo train control system and the running number recognition protocol (without unintentional "creeping" out of the block section).
