After much web surfing on cleaning track I finally purchased the clean machine, it cleans as it says, its makes track cleaning fun not a pain. One problem is the HO wheels, smaller diameter than OO. I use Kadee couplers and the height difference meant it uncoupled. So I fitted hornby OO wheels coupling perfect, but cleaning pad height is raised by 1.5mm so cleaning not so effective, simply stick with double sided tape a piece of plasticard or similar of 1 to 1.5mm thickness to cleaning base. It then cleans as original. Well worth the money and shunting out the sidings, then shunting in the clean machine, makes maintenance a happy event.
Well worth the money.
