Auxiliary switch kit (6 lever) for Slow action DC motors
The ASTD adds electrical operation to your frame

Adding this switch pack allows electrical operation of up-to 6 slow-motion point motors, allowing you to drive points and signals from your lever frame.
Consists of an assembled board with switches to control up-to 6 stall action point motors.
This module can be added in sets of 6 to equip any size frame.

This Auxiliary Switch Unit may be fitted to a bay of 6 levers of a MODRATEC Lever Frame. It is primarily intended to directly drive slow-motion point motors (switch machines) similar to the Tortoise type.
There is a pair of switches to sense the location of each lever. When a lever is in the normal (back) position, a negative output is generated; when a lever is in the reverse (pulled) position, a positive output is generated.

Screw terminals are provided as follows (9 terminals):
Two terminals to accept the + and - of a split (+/0/-) d.c. power input - typically 12V d.c.
A common output terminal.
One output terminal corresponding to each lever.
The outputs are rated 100mA (0.1A).

You also require:
A Mounting Kit applicable to the number of levers in the frame(s) to which the Auxiliary Switch Units are to be fitted.
A split d.c. power source (typically two d.c. supplies with the + of one being linked to the - of the other). This may be looped to multiple Auxiliary Switch Units. For connection details, please click the "webpage" link at the bottom of this page.

Installation requires a MODRATEC lever frame (Interlocking or Non-Interlocking) and
A MODRATEC auxiliary switch mounting kit (select to suit your frame size.)2 6-12Vdc power sources (selected to suit your point motors.
The kit is simple to assemble, No soldering is required, screw clamp connectors are pre-fitted to the board.
